I've lived an unusual chameleon-life since I can first remember, from starting out as the weird half-South African kid wearing dubious hand-me-downs who didn't understand British pop culture, to graduating from Cambridge University with a degree in philosophy and a vague ambition to make music for a living.

I was fortunate enough to make that ambition into a reality, and spent much of my twenties and early thirties writing, recording and touring around Europe playing music. It was during my career as a musician that I began to delve into copywriting and social, realising that I preferred to write my own PR and run my own social accounts instead of letting a label or management do it for me. I toured as a vocalist with legendary electronic act Faithless for two years and during this time produced content for their Instagram and Facebook channels as well as my own and was soon hooked.

Since then I’ve gone on to create digital content for a variety of brands and organisations, from giants like Netflix UK and ITV, to inspirational initiatives like Inspiring Girls and smaller scale start-ups like Melobee and Legacy Vitamins. I’ve been lucky enough to have had exciting opportunities to flex my muscles in many corners of the creative galaxy, including social media content creation, community management, live-tweeting, live-clipping, subbing and photo editing, UX, PR, pitches, music reviews and scriptwriting. I am confident editing video, using Photoshop, writing long & short form copy, and I have a keen eye for design and visual alongside my love of words.

I'm comfortable across a range of creative roles, whether it be live-tweeting along to shows like Love Island (with thousands of viewers watching your every tweet...) or generating ideas for campaigns like Netflix’s Sex Education and Stranger Things. My favourite kind of content has a slightly offbeat, entertainment or arts-based focus, but I’m up for anything as long as it feels engaging and makes you stop before you keep on scrolling. I am also a plant nerd who loves nothing more than to garden all day long until it gets dark!
